Tantra got a proper facelift a few years ago with the indoor space now functioning as a self-sufficient, closed-door club/bar, with a full license until 6am.
The inside of Tantra is quite large for a bar, with plenty of seating to chill on and plenty of floor space to dance on. The front terrace seating area faces on to the main road through Playa d'en Bossa, with new LED screens for decoration and loads of chairs and tables to enjoy your drinks at while either listening to the music from the live DJs or watching sport on the big screen TVs and projectors. While there is also a wooden decking area to the side of the venue for more space, this is rarely used, however it always makes an appearance during the bar's now infamous closing parties, where huge names like Joseph Capriati and Pan-Pot have played.
Tantra plays host to a variety of official pre-parties throughout each season, with many of the major clubs being a short walk from the venue itself. You can expect to see some of the biggest DJs and some of the dance music's future stars playing early in the night.
This venue is always hugely popular due to its setup and location only 100 m from the entrance of Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza opposite and all the smaller bars and beach venues of the Playa d'en Bossa resort. In recent years, it's become a solid after-party spot, with revellers drifting to its doors to continue the carnage well into the following day. Try it if you're brave enough.
